About

Hi!

My name is Briana, and this is a blog inspired by my past and upcoming travels. I am someone who feels most alive when I discover new places, meet new people, and get to adapt to different ways of life. Growing up, I never thought I would be able to travel as much as I have by the age of 22, so documenting my experiences along the way has become a way for me to appreciate them to the fullest extent. I am hoping that my renewed dedication to this platform will keep me accountable in terms of taking the time to process my experiences while helping my friends and family (and anyone else interested) understand them. I am committed to exploring more diverse and less conventional ways of communicating my experiences–Sometimes I may write the usual long, in-depth posts, and other times I may just present a quote with a short explanation to capture my experience for that day or week–I am not entirely sure yet. My destinations have included Monterrey, México; Kenya; Chile; and southern Peru, with Chiapas, México being the most recently added to the list. Through my writing, I aim to reflect on my changing reality and self as I am introduced to new places, engage with the unique communities in those places, and hopefully develop meaningful relationships with the former and the latter. I hope you enjoy reading about my physical, emotional, cultural, intellectual, and spiritual journey through la escuela de la vida as I learn through immersion.

Thank you for following!
